The Arrowood Brothers

Come Back for Me is the first book in the series, and it captivated me from the very beginning. While it does touch on some heavy topics, including physical abuse, it’s handled with care and honesty. Some scenes truly broke my heart, but Connor slowly helped mend it through the way he respected and cherished Ellie and her daughter, Hadley.
Connor is newly off duty from the Navy due to an injury and finds himself back home after the passing of his father. He and his brothers want nothing to do with the family farm—or the man who owned it—and are determined to sell it and move on. However, their father has other plans. His will requires that each son live on the farm for six months before it can be sold. With no other choice, the brothers agree to restore the farm and prepare it for sale, starting with Connor. What he doesn’t expect is that the one woman he never forgot lives right next door.
Ellie has been quietly hiding her pain, carrying both emotional and physical scars while finding the strength to leave her abusive marriage. One final moment is all it takes for her to realize she and her daughter deserve more. With Connor’s support, Ellie begins to rebuild her life and show Hadley what strength, love, and resilience truly look like.
There’s a small twist—actually, a beautiful surprise—that I’ll leave for readers to discover on their own. I loved every page of this book. While the subject matter is difficult at times, it’s written beautifully and with so much heart. I found myself completely hooked from the very first page, rooting for Ellie and Connor every step of the way. Their connection felt natural and deeply emotional, and I especially loved the bond that formed between Connor and Hadley.
This was my first book by Corinne Michaels, and it absolutely won’t be my last. I’m already eager to continue the series.
These brothers are an absolute dream—and if men like them exist in the real world, you should hold on tight and never let go.
Sydney and Declan are perfect for one another. Childhood sweethearts with a shared vision of the future, they grew up side by side and weathered life’s hardest moments together. But after a devastating accident, Declan makes the impossible choice to leave. It shatters Sydney, even though walking away was never easy for him. He loved her completely, but believed that leaving was the only way to keep her safe from the darkness surrounding his life.
When it’s Declan’s turn to return to the farm, seeing Sydney again brings everything rushing back. His love for her never faded, and all he wants is another chance—but he has no intention of staying in Sugarloaf. Sydney is left torn between the love she still feels and the fear of having her heart broken all over again if Declan chooses to leave once more.
I loved every minute of this book. My emotions were all over the place as Sydney and Declan’s story unfolded. Declan has endured so much since losing his mother, and Sydney was always his anchor during the hardest moments of his life. After making the most painful decision he’s ever faced, he struggles to believe he deserves what he’s always wanted—a family with the woman he loves.
Sydney, meanwhile, must decide whether she can risk her heart again, knowing how deeply she was hurt before. Their past is powerful and full of history, but their future has the potential to be even stronger. This was a beautifully emotional second-chance romance that stayed with me long after I finished reading.
Sean and Devney have been childhood friends for as long as they can remember… or at least that’s what they’ve always tried to believe. Their feelings for one another are “just friendship,” but deep down, they both know the truth.
After Devney’s breakup, Sean finally finds the courage to act on his feelings and pursue her. Devney, however, is carrying a secret from her past—one so big that even Sean, her closest friend, has been kept in the dark. That secret comes to light after a tragic accident claims the lives of Devney’s brother and sister-in-law. While Sean is initially hurt by being left out, his love for Devney runs so deep that he’s able to forgive and move forward.
Sean and Devney are the ultimate friends-to-lovers story. Their bond is genuine, their chemistry undeniable, and their love grows stronger with every page. I adored their journey, and I couldn’t be happier that these two finally got their well-deserved happily ever after.
