The Coffee Book Series by Sophie Sinclair is a must read. I absolutely adore this series as it is filled with lots of love and laughs. Not to mention the message behind it all, which is that friends and family are important and will support you through anything. They are the ones who will always be there for you when times get tough.
Of the three books in this series, The Makeup Artist is by far my favorite. I laughed out loud plenty of times and let's face it Lex is a dream. Sarah is also one of my favorites of the leading ladies in this series. You can read more about this book in my review below.
This is Sophie Sinclair's first series and I am blown away at her writing abilities. She is so very talented with her stories and captivating the readers from the beginning. And her characters feel so real to me, as if they are my very own friends... which I wish they were. They are such a strong knit group of friends and hysterical when they are together.
The Social Hour - Book 3
The Social Hour is an excellent addition to the Coffee Book series. I think that Sophie Sinclair ended the series perfectly.
I was so happy that the gang was in this book a lot. Kiki, TJ, Sarah, and Mandy (Andie's best friend) kept the laughs coming. They are just a great group of friends, who only want the best for their friends and family.
Cameron is the owner of The Social Hour bar in town as well as a handful of other locations across the country. He is married to his job and doesn't generally have time for a relationship. However, when he crosses paths with Andie he beings to feel things that he never considered before. Andie is such a sweet addition to the gang. She recently moved to Nashville with her son, Enzo, leaving her past in Alabama. She has a heart of gold and deserves so much happiness. She recently started working for Kiki and Sarah and is fortunate enough to run into Cameron on a daily basis. I love how these two first meet. There are a handful of obstacles that these two encounter, from crazy ex's to wanna be girlfriends.
I absolutely love this series and I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a story with love, a bit of drama, and lots of laughs.
The Makeup Artist - Book 2
I am not exaggerating when I say you need this book in your life. I honestly don't think my words could do this book justice. I loved being back in the Coffee Book world with all the previous characters from book one. They are still a huge part of book two and it makes it all that more amazing. The Makeup Artist will make you laugh out loud, cry, want to punch someone in the face, and melt your heart all at the same time. How is that possible you ask? It just is. Sophie Sinclair has an innate ability to create characters that are so down to earth, real, and easy to connect and relate to.
I loved learning how Sarah became a part of the group and how her and Lex first met. Sarah is so freaking adorable and full of sunshine, I couldn't help but feel all the happy energy that she was feeling. Now Lex, well he is swoon-worthy and just an amazing human. That accent in my head melts me into a puddle of butter. I love it! We also learn about Lex and his past and why he is the "no relationship" man that he is. I thought these two were a perfect match for one another, as they complement each other well.
As I mentioned before this story took me on a roller-coaster of emotions and I had a hard time putting the book down. When it was all said and done I was left feeling so happy, like I was floating on cloud nine. I highly recommend The Makeup Artist. It can be read as a standalone, but trust me you'll want to read about Tatum and Kiki from Coffee Girl.
Coffee Girl - Book 1
I found Coffee Girl to be a light hearting and fun read. I love the chemistry between Tatum and Kiki. Tatum may be a hot country star singer who can get any girl he wants, but he only has one girl in mind. Kiki moves to Nashville to work as an assistant to Tatum's stylist, and finds herself falling for him. Kiki seems to have low self esteem and is always second guessing her true feelings or thoughts. Tatum helps her realize that she doesn't need to be a celebrity to win him over, that he enjoys the fun, feisty girl she is.
Sophie Sinclair has developed a great set of characters with a lot of dept. I found it easy for me to relate to them and connect with their emotions. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
