Now Open Your Eyes - Book 3
If it was possible to give this book 10 stars I would. I am an emotional mess right now. Ollie and Mia are by far my favorites and this book is my number one read of the year so far. I don't know how any other book will be able to affect me the way this one has. I had originally started this series at the end of last year. I was hooked and couldn't wait to read the remaining books. Which I finally was able to this past month and I am so glad I did. Every time I cracked open a new book besides one that came from this series, I kept wondering what Ollie and Mia were up to and if they would be together in the end. Now that the story is over my heart is happy and content, but I won't lie I miss Ollie and Mia. I may have to reread the series again sometime this year.
Ollie and Mia taught me to love through everything. Nothing and nobody can keep you away from the love you are meant to have. We learn of Ollie's past and how it was for him growing up. We meet his mother, I hated her throughout because of the childhood she brought Ollie into. But the last scene between the two tore my motherly heart into two. Ollie and Mia have gone through some much in their past and their present, carving them into these amazingly strong, independent, and loving individuals. They have been pushed down by others to only be brought back up by one another. Ollie gave Mia the ability and strength to be on her own.
Nicole Fiornia has written yet another amazing book and to see this series end makes me sad. However, I feel that she ended it so beautifully and just the way it should be. Thank you Nicole for giving us Ollie and Mia.
I really hope more and more people pick up this series and give it a go. I should warn you that there are some trigger points in this series, rape and murder. So if you think you can handle it I highly suggest you pick up the series.
Even When I'm Gone - Book 2
Where do I even start? This series had me hooked from book one. Book two is just as incredible and captivating. Some say it's not realistic, but I think they don't understand the true beauty of an amazing and well written story. One that takes hold of not only your mind but your heart as well. Books aren't meant to just be based off of what happens in the real life that we see, but in life all around us. Anyone could be going through this story like Ollie and Mia. One that may not be picture perfect, but one that is imperfectly perfect.
Mia and Ollie are everything! I love these characters like they are my own. Regardless of the troubles that Mia and Ollie have been facing, their love for each other is so strong that it surpasses it all and always brings them back to where they belong...each other. The ending of the story was definitely not one that I saw coming and I love that the author totally blindsided us with that. I love Nicole Fiornia's way with words, she is able to make you feel the emotions of her characters as if they were your own. I think that is an incredible and rare talent for a writer to have. I am looking forward to reading the last book Now Open Your Eyes.
Stay With Me - Book 1
I can't think straight. My emotions are all over the place and I'm not even sure I can put them into a coherent sentence, but I'll do my best. This book had me all over the place. Confused at how Mia was feeling and why she was able to block so many emotions from the surface. Happy because of the way Ollie and her were with each other, how he was able to break down her walls and make her feel again. Sad because of what Mia had gone through in the past and even in her present.
When a book leaves you empty you know you've hit the jackpot at a good book. This book broke me, emotionally and I'm not sure when I'll recover from it. Looking forward to reading book 2, as soon as my heart is mended back together.
